How did I find out that I was pregnant - 2 Sept 09

Since 30 Aug, Sunday morning, I felt nausea. I thought I might be having food poisoning but the thing was, I did not vomit and there was no diarrhea. I just ignored the discomfort and went to have frog porridge (but skipping the frog meat...hee...) and dim sum at Chinatown with my brother, my sister, Zhixian and Rendy. Throughout the day, I did not really feel as usual, kind of sick and I ended up not attending DC (meditation session) at jagriti.
The next day, I still feel nausea and very lazy. The thought of home cook food made me felt like throwing out and I did not feel like going to the kitchen. In the evening, although still no improvement I still drag myself to yoga class and before that discussed thesis with Dada. Throughout the class, I felt cold and uneasy andI couldn't wait to go home. Finally, when class ended Dada asked: "Evan, you still alive?" Ha ha ha, surely he noticed that I felt unwell. On the way home, Rendy packed Punggol nasi lemak for our late dinner. Normally I find the smell was nice and tempting but it was different for that night when I opened up my pack of nasi lemak, I felt like puking! In fact, same day in the noon I mentioned to my mom about my discomfort and she said that I might be pregnant. But I was not thinking the same, I told her I might be having food poisoning. And she reasoned to me that if it were food poisoning, I would have vomitted and had diarrhea. Yet, I did not care much and thinking that I would be better by tomorrow.
Here came tomorrow (Tuesday 1 Sept 09), I still felt the same and slept almost for the whole day. Did not know what to eat as my appetite was bad and at night I told Rendy that I felt like eating raw salmon with wasabi. So we headed to bus stop for bus 31 that would bring us to Parkway Parade. While I was waiting for the bus, I changed my mind and I proceeded to see doctor because I wanted to cure my nausea faster so that I could concentrate on my revision on Mahabharata and Patanjali Sutras for the exam coming Saturday.
I told doctor about my condition that I had been suffering for few days, he then asked when was my last period. In view of my one month due period, he got me to do pregnancy test. I was not expecting a positive sign as I thought it was not quite possible. So, doctor did the test for me and while I was heading to have a sit. Immediately, before I managed to rest my buttock to a seat Dr Lee (a friendly nice caring doctor from Spring Clinic) told me: " you are pregnant."
"Huh" I whispered inside, I couldn't believe it and Rendy also looked a little blank but could feel he was happy with the result.
At night, I couldn't sleep well as a result of mix feeling. Feeling of excitement and worry. Excited for there is a new life in my tummy and in the mean time worried about miscarriage as I have phobia on the past experience, would it happen again? would the baby finally come out and meet us?

Been so so so so long after my trip in July 2009

Hi pals out there, how are you doing? It's been months that I haven't updated my blog and glad that there are visitors still dropping by and giving comments (that's one of the reasons I decided to continue to whisper at my "Journal of Lady").
Well, am going to start from where I'd stopped (this journal is a flash back of mine how I have journeyed my life so far...)

After coming back from my trip, I was suffering from a little jet leg and adjusting to the time difference of 6 hours.
It's been 2 weeks that I separated from Rendy and I missed him much. On 27 July 2009, he and I went to Borders and he bought me a lovely notebook that cost S$15 (it's my favourite ever!). After that, we proceeded to Dome Cafe for afternoon tea, we ordered Salmon wrap and chocolate and mocha for drinks.This is the notebook that I like the most!

11 July 2009 - 25 July 2009 Sweden Trip + Yoga Conference.

It was a wonderful experience especially in Ydrefors. It's my dream come true place, Adventure of Tom Sawyer. Vibration was so good and so relaxing.
I led a simple and peaceful life there. So beautiful.

Oooooooh......how many days have gone ever since I stopped blogging? I have been busy for weeks and months lately and I missed my blog.
Finally, some time here to update you people out there how I am doing. Just recently started work and there are many opportunities out there awaiting for me to take action.
I kind of like to be busy as I gain satisfaction from it. But I don't like the feeling of tiredness. What to do....nothing in this world that both sides are perfect. That's why God created men and women to compliment each other. Ha!
How's everybody out there? Getting busy? Has life improved? Getting worse? Or just the same? Whatever it is, don't give up on what you believe in. At the end it will be ok. Just enjoy the process of life...

After weeks of using Kawaii Tokyo Brighten-up gel (Citrus), my face skin tone has became lighter and brighter and my pores got smaller too.
I am a lazy person when come to skin care but I find this gel suits me a lot because after washing the face I can just apply the gel without using any toner yet the effect is still good.

People will only be convinced of the existence of certain things when only there are SCIENTIFIC proofs.
Well, in my point of view certain things are not explainable. Certain things need not to have scientific explanation to say they do exist.

Doing Yoga at home

These photos are taken during I practised some of the Asanas (Yoga) at home.
Asanas are not allowed to perform during menstruation and some are not to practise during pregnancy.
Bhujaungasana (Cobra posture)-good for spine, cures constipation, beautifies the upper body, alleviate menstrual disorders, improve flexibility of the nerves & reduce stress and stiffness in the ligaments.

What is it in life that you expect? What is it in life that you are pursuing? Many people nowadays are educated to study more in order to get better jobs. Many define success as having an empire where one owns big house, luxurious car, good career and more money. Is this your cup of tea?
As for me, a married simple lady does not want to be limited or restricted with the definition because luxury in material is not I aim for. If you knew me, I have been wanting HAPPINESS, to me happiness means everything. And thankfully I found part of the happiness.
Next thing I want to do is, to find my permanent happiness-BLISS. I am fine with staying in a normal house as long as it is contented with lovely and happy people. In another words, living in a sweet happy family. I ever dreamed of staying in a wooden cottage near a waterfall where only my family and I stay together far from the city life. A place so near to nature where green green forest within touch and surrounded with fresh air so fresh that you feel the cool breeze.
I am glad that I found Ananda Marga yoga society (ananda marga=path of bliss) and currently attending their certificate and diploma course. Here, I finally found a path to lead me to a more peaceful life and hopefully I am getting nearer it. During my entry-interview with one of the acaryas, I mentioned that I want to lead a life that is happy, a happiness that will last. Career & power are not what I want because I realized they don't bring happiness to me.
So, what about you? What are you pursuing in life? Do you agree with me, journey of a life matters the most rather than the destination?

Recipe of healthy clear soup-Spinach soup with shredded chicken meat.

Sharing with you one of my husband's favourite soup recipes.
If you like vegetable and something light, you may like this.

Ingredients:
Spinach (rich source of iron and calcium)
chicken bones
chicken breast meat
garlic
egg
salt
soya sauce

First of all, do all the necessary cleaning on spinach, chicken bones, breast meat and garlic.
1. Heat up a pot of water and drop some garlic in it.
2. When the water is boiling, put in the chicken bones
3. Wait for few minutes and next put in the whole breast meat into the pot.
4. Approximately after 3-4 minutes(depends on the size of the breast meat), take out the meat and put in a bowl. (Don't let the whole breast meat simmer too long in the soup as over cook it will spoil the texture).
5. When the breast meat is a little colder, use your hands and tear the breast meat into shredded meat (while the soup is still boiling).
6. Let the soup simmer for about half an hour to let out the aroma of garlic and bone.
7. This time, you can put in the spinach and let it boil (depends on how you want your vege to be done, if you prefer soft and smooth texture, let them boil for a longer time).
8. Next, put in the shredded chicken (make sure the shredded meat is cooked this time before serving).
9. As for the egg, roughly beat the egg and then put in the egg into the boiling soup using a tablespoon (or a chinese tablespoon), spoon by spoon.
11. After a while, the soup is ready to be served.

First day of Yoga class- Yoga History

Last evening was my first day of yoga certificate class, Yoga History. We were taught of the correct way of breathing and some Asana postures such as Shavasana (corpse posture), Yogamudra and Bhujaungasana and we were briefed on the history of Yoga and India (used to be Bharat). Interesting!
Looking forward to the next class tomorrow. Can't wait to explore more.

Feel good with my short hair!

Wow! So good, so relax! After so many years of long hair, I finally had my hair cut on the 31st Dec 2008, welcoming 2009 with my new look.
Many prefer my look in long hair (which I thought the same) but I still love having this short hair cut, I feel so good, feel so light. It's so easy to manage. So fresh!

My point of view of life and work

I have been spending most of my time working BLINDLY and after years of working, I started complaining why most our lives must be spent on WORKING? It will be different story if I were working as in building my OWN empire but I wasn't. I was working for PEOPLE, in another words as an employee.

In Singapore, it is so common to see people work for companies days after days, months after months, years after years. What do they get at the end? Retirement? (Which is barely not enough in future as the populations now are outliving their sources).
Furthermore, do you think you can survive till retirement? Don't forget RECESSION which means retrenchment. Nothing is guaranteed in future.

Are you happy with what you are doing? Why spend so much miserable time on life where we only live once? young once? Not unless if you're happy with what you are doing now, by all means.
But if you were like me, used to working BLINDLY? It's time to ...

Vanna, my long time good friend from Sabah.

Many thought that she is arrogant and cold because they don't know her yet. Her name, Vanna or as I used to call her "林玉慧" (even until now I still call her with her surname, ha). We knew each other since Form 1 but we got closer only 2 years after that.
I remember she used to have very very long hair, waist-length and oh yeah, she has natural curly hair. During school time, one of the topics we and some other gangs like to talk about was FOOD. It was when I knew her that food became one of my topics to talk about. Ha ha ha, quite funny.
Well, let's see how come she is one of my good friends (am quite a choosy person when come to mix with friends). We shared many common things like our favourite colours, our favourite singers and so on (those things that teenagers normally would do). Furthermore, she is not an arrogant person, which is a very important quality of a friend of mine.
She is the youngest in the family and that is why sometimes her character is kind of hard. She gets what she wants most of the time and I can see her family dotes on her a lot. She is someone with character and that makes her beautiful. She is good in her Chinese, sometimes I have to ask for explanation on the Chinese proverbs she said and I learned from her too.
If you mix with her long enough, you will be able to discover that she gains popularity very fast especially among girl friends. It's just comfortable listening her talking.

To have kids? Not a prob!

As you can see my profile reflected on the left side of this blog, I WAS eager to bear children but now I AM more or less having the thought of "it's ok not to have kids" because I am happy with what I have now. It might be a blessing to not having kids or maybe to have them? I take both situation as a WIN-WIN condition.
Most importantly, I am leading a happy simple life with my husband, whom has been so caring and loving (although the future is not guaranteed at least I am showered with love and leading life happily for the time being, SEIZE THE MOMENT).
But one thing is I feel a little guilty towards my parents-in-law because they must have been longing to be grandparents whom they have been very very nice to me. They never give me pressure to have children soon, especially my father in law is extremely understanding. He cares for my health more than to rush me to have kids.I regard them as my 2nd parents and I am so thankful and blessed for God has given me very understanding parents-in-law.
As for my mom, she is always the best ever, as long as we are happy, she is fine with whatever decision we make. I always seek advice from her whenever I face problems. I really learn a lot from her.
Nowadays, I get happy many times compare to last time when I hadn't realize my LIFE. For example, I just felt happy this afternoon having lunch with my husband, a simple lunch in a quiet windy afternoon. So simple yet indescribable feeling.

Happy and satisfying Christmas lunch with sisters and friends.

It was a satisfying fun Christmas lunch with my husband, sisters and their friends. Early in the morning, we, the 3 ladies were busy preparing food in the kitchen. We prepared pork chops, salads, chickens rolled with bacon, vegetables, mash potatoes, Italian sausages, grilled chicken. Although it was quite tiring, we found satisfaction seeing everybody enjoyed themselves.
About the setting of the table, I put a bunch of red Roses accompanied small white Daisies and I lit 4 candles consisting 2 long ones and 2 small ones. As for the ambiance, light was dimmed, air-conditioner was on and not to forget soothing music. Ooooo...I really like the feeling!!!!
We started our lunch with everybody holding their wine glasses and CHEERS, Merry Xmas!!!

After the lunch, we all went to play pool.

She is the first and last child actor that I love the most, Shirley Temple. I watched some of her shows during school time and since then I kept thinking about her, how lovely she was.
She acted very very well and I still don't see anyone can replace her.
Shirley Temple, the one and only best child actor ever. The cutest ever!!!

Global econonmy is sinking into "severe' stage in 2009.

Economy is bad this year and expected to worsen next year.

As stated in Yahoo News: "Charles Dallara, managing director of the Institute of International Finance (IIF) - which represents more than 375 of the world's major banks and financial institutions -- called it "the most severe, globally synchronised recession in modern economic history".

Do miracles happen? But this is mathematics...will miracles make an appearance to help?

East coast cyling trip with Hui on 20 Dec '08

Last Saturday the weather was cooperative towards my trip to cycling with Hui. We have been planning for cycling since last year and finally it happened last Saturday morning at East Coast Park...

We rented 2 bicycles and here we go...

We dropped by at Bedok jetty...

While Hui was busy reading and replying her messages...

She then realized there was a spider web with a spider above on a tree and that really scared her (sorry, didn't manage to take a picture of her frightened look!) Let me describe how she looked like: Her both hands were holding her arms as we would do when we have goose bumps, her eyes were big and 'extended' upwards, the look of frightened, ha ha ha. As for me? Still staying cool!

After a while, we went to the sea side...

After cycling, we went to have our lunch nearby (again @ at Hong Kong Cafe).
There, I ordered 'Si Mud' milk tea which I find it nice and I recommended Hui to try it. So, I passed the milk tea to her and she drank it through the straw. And then...she said: " 喔，这个很奶! " and quickly I laughed and started to imagine she was squeezing her breast while saying so. Ha ha ha!! (Warning: Only my imagination).

A fun Saturday spent with Hui on a windy sunny day, oooohh...Hui and I started to love the sun. Going to plan for sun tan soon.

Introducing my long time friend, Andrew. I knew him even before I got married, it's about 7 years now I think. I used to work in an insurance company and my job needed to liaise with him, so from there we became friends with some other colleagues.
He is one bubbly guy who is fun to be with. If you knew him, he doesn't wear black often and that's one of the reasons that makes me feel he is a sunshine bubbly friend (see the pic). Besides, he is an optimistic person whom sometimes I get advice from him on some matters.
One of his hobbies is riding MOTORBIKE! Yeah, he's a biker!
He loves food as well, I bet he knows which corners of Singapore offer good food. He's a live food directory. Ha ha ha!
Oh yeah, he sings very well too. I once heard him singing Wu Bai's song. Very good.
By the way, he is also my loyal reader on my blog. Thank you!

Today I spent my whole afternoon meeting with my friend. Maybe it has been so long of me being kept in the house, when I came to Raffles City I saw many working women they look pretty, almost every one of them. Some are slim, short, a little fat, tall...all sizes. Wearing their smart office attires with high heels, oooh...I miss going back to work. I just like the look of confident smart women. If I were a guy, I will after ladies who look elegant and confident. No matter she is working or not, always confident.

Welcome to Singapore! The "PAY IT FORWARD" bracelets are here finally which my husband has been waiting for so many weeks.
My husband was so excited that he wore it on the very day. As for me, I am wearing it since last week.

I didn't know that life can be so simple yet happy. I can say, this is the simplest life of mine and it's the happiest of mine so far.
I am glad to have a husband who has been so generous in pouring his love towards me. Yes, things happen for reasons. Only now I realized that life isn't just about pursuing, the NOW is that we need to live in.

I used to ask my husband so many times that if I were his burden (as I am not working), in fact he finds he is happier now as we are managing our life well so far. He could focus more on his projects and I could help him in some areas. I don't just stay at home and doing nothing, I can't bear myself for not contributing, that's my character.

I may not been traveling to many places, I may not be staying in a big house, I may not be having many luxurious stuff, I may not be having a good career but one thing for sure now is, my husband's love has given me the happiness that I realized it's the one I have been looking for. Life will be more interesting because I believe and not giving up.

Life is getting better with us, having a harmony life. I don't want to think too much about the future. Think of now and do what I need to do. Live now but not in future and play your own role well. Life's beautiful with love and peace and especially when people around you are happy!

Went to Batam, Holiday Inn with husband on 12 Dec 08

Today my husband and I just got home from Batam 2D1N trip. The hotel we stayed in was Holiday Inn resort, the service was not as good as with Harris Resort although the facility in Holiday Inn is much more nicer and better.
If you're a service oriented person, do go to Harris for their prompt and friendly services. As for Holiday Inn, the service is not up to my expectation but the facility and scenery are nice which in turn gives a balance in between service and comfortable stay.

Shopping time!! After shopping, we went for 2 hours massage each. My husband went for aromatherapy massage while I asked for Thai massage at Isabella Massage House, opposite Nagoya shopping mall. The prices were reasonable compare to hotel's. They are Rp150,00 (S$21) and Rp 130,000 (S$18) respectively.
They also provide round trip service like to & from hotel or shopping mall or ferry terminal or airport.

Dinner at Golden Prawn, a wooden house floating on a lake. There, we ordered chili crab, locust prawn, butter prawn, bean sprout, hotplate tofu, lemon chicken and rice. Oooh....so full! The dinner cost us about Rp400,00 or S$58. (A little expensive I think).
(Didn't take pictures of the food, was too engross to the food, ha!)

Back to hotel after a day of shopping, massage and dinner.

Finally a news about foreign workers' living condition, to let us know how some inhuman employers are treating their workers.
Good thing now is, fine will be imposed on employers who provide unsafe and unhealthy dormitories for foreign workers.
If you've watched the news last night, where it shows the conditions of the living environment you'll probably think they are not for human or not even for our pets.
Why are there some inhuman employers out there? Can you spare some thought for them? These workers come from so far leaving their family behind just to find a decent job that can help to sustain their family back in hometown.
Please spare some thoughts for these workers especially from India and Bangladesh, they are the ones who do the works that almost none of a Singaporean would do.
From washing floor of our blocks (where we stay comfortably), collecting garbage, cutting tree trunks which they need to climb for a height of about 2-storey (there are few incidents that workers fell down and died) to doing dangerous construction works.

How many Singaporean would do these jobs?

These foreign workers not only do rough jobs and staying in bad condition dormitories, they are sometimes treated as "aliens". There are people looking down on them, thinking that they are dirty, bad and bla bla bla... In another words, they are treated as "discriminated status".

Japanese Bath Aroma sea salt

This is another product which I find it's good, a scrub suitable for body and even face. I bought for the second time now. The first one I bought was Peach Japanese Bath Aroma Bath Sea Salt (JBABSS), as printed on the tube, it says: Eject toxin, remove darkness and purify skin.
This time, I bought Rose JBABSS which will helps to moist and rejuvenate skin and smaller pore. The blue one is for my sister hers is Milk JBABSS which helps to nourish skin. This will be her first time using it after I recommended it to her.
The beads in the scrub is actually very small and soft so it won't harm much on your face not unless you scrub it hard. Ha!
Their main ingredients are sea salt, jojoba, loquat leaf, pine needels and honey. So natural.
You can find them at SASA outlets at S$9.80 but last night I just bought them at 20% discount. It's cheap and good, why not give it a try?

Last night, 1 Dec 2008 Monday, my husband finally has some time for me which he had been busy working for almost 3 weeks.
We went for a show called "4 Christmases" starring Reese Witherspoon (winner of Oscar Best Actress in 2006) & Vince Vaughn (Jennifer Aniston's ex bf), it was a relaxing fun comedy, I didn't feel bored with it at all (which initially I thought I would end up in a stage of "cheh, it's just another boring comedy"). After the show, we had our dinner at Xin Wang (Hong Kong style cafe).
But my husband was kind of busy replying his email. Nowadays, he brings along his Lenovo for his convenience- to work everywhere and that left me doing nothing but wait for food QUIETLY.
Well, that's ok, at least we'd spent some time outside.

My husband ordered Dou Hua (beancurd) and pork chop papaya soup with bee hoon and I ordered pork ribs rice for myself.
Actually the Dou Hua was a portion for about 3 persons but we managed to finished it. How? We was at the cafe for about 2 hours, there Rendy did some of his work and then we surfed net together, so for the time we spent on the laptop, we didn't forget to have our Dou Hua, bit by bit and ended up our stomach digesting the food while we walked to bus stop and took bus no.10 home.

In the previous post, Muslims in M'sia are not allowed to practice yoga.

Now, finally a reasonable news from MUIS (Islamic Religious Council of Singapore ) said that it's ok for Muslims to practise Yoga for health and physical benefits.
In the news, it says: In 1984, Fatwa Committee had issued a religious ruling that Muslims are not allowed to practise Yoga if it contains rituals and beliefs of other faiths.
But hey, can't we see that nowadays Yoga being taught in studios, is there any involvement in recitations or chanting? It's just a physical fitness purpose. Not unless they practise yoga in the temple or with religious guru.

It's a pity to know that Muslims in M'sia are banned from practicing yoga.

Yoga originates from India where it's practiced by Hindu monks for ages.
But let's see, most of the yoga practices now has globally evolved to a level which it's for fitness purposes. It doesn't involve in chanting at all. Not unless if you practice your yoga with yoga monk in Hindu temple. In today's yoga, I personally think that there are two types of practice, one is religious which practice by Hindu and the other is for fitness purpose which practiced widely by either Hindu or non-Hindu in fitness studios.

So why ban yoga that's only a form of exercise which one can benefit from it. Time has changed a lot of things, so why not keep your pace with the changes. Those who do, will keep improving and those that don't, will be left behind.

Electronic Shaver or Manual Shaver?

The shaver I mean here is for men, some men prefer using electronic shaver while some prefer using manual shaver as in using it with shaving gel.
As a lady, I prefer men using the non-electronic one, why? Because I find a man looks macho when shaving in the wash room, with his chin and upper lip fill with shaving gel.
Furthermore, I like the smell of him when he kisses me after the shaving.

My first attempt cooking Sweet & Sour Pork

Today as I promised to my husband, I cooked his favourite sweet & sour pork. But cooking it my style. Hee...
In the dish, I added potato, big onion, red onion and tomato. As for seasonings, I added tomato sauce and vinegar, that's all.
Before cooking, I deep fried the sliced pork till golden brown but firstly I dipped them into beaten egg and corn flour.

Today I woke up very late after having my full-of-dreams sleep. Right after my routine washing, I did some housework. I really feel so relaxed and happy to see my house that's clean and tidy, it's a cozy sweet little house.

Tips on keeping the house clean and tidy:
1. Don't anyhow buy stuff that you LIKE, buy if you NEED it (even if it's cheap).
2. Always make sure your dining table is not full of stuff, put back things where they suppose to be. Set a rule, clear the table, keep your stuff.
3. Always throw unwanted letters/documents, don't pile them.
4. Don't keep stuff you don't need, although you think you might need them in future. Unless you're very sure, keep them then.

Some small beauty tips

Let me share some of beauty tips that I've tested.
Firstly, how to efficiently apply conditioner on your hair. Remember to comb your hair before washing it, this will untangle your hair and make it easier to wash.
I normally will wash my hair before my body and after that I apply conditioner to my hair and proceed to wash body.
When apply conditioner, separate your hair into two parts first,

pour accurate amount of conditioner on your palm and rub them onto your hair. After that,massage the first part of your hair, gently massage and rub your hair with up and down motion (as our hair have scales, this motion would make it easier to absorb the conditioner). Please do the same to the other part. Before washing your body, remember to put on a shower cap in order to let the conditioner "trap" into your hair for better absorbability.
Remember to rinse your hair(after washing your body).
Now, your hair is going to feel as soft as silk. Happy trying.
*The above tested tip is base on my personal encounter, if you have doubt please do not try it. Try at your own risk.

On the previous post, I mentioned on Body Shop mineral make-up.
This time, I am going to recommend their body shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and some other products.

BODY SHOWER GEL
First about body shower gel, don't be fooled by the small bottle it's gonna last you for quite a longer period. Because of the THICK essence from the natural ingredients. I especially like Satsuma, the fragrant is very refreshing and soothing. Not only body smells good, the shower room surely also has the fragrant after bath. (Ha, it's like 2-way effect, fragrance in your body and your bathroom).
Olive-oil shower gel is also one of my favorites. Many might not like Olive-Oil because of the strong smell but let's not worry, this ain't gonna make you sick. It's gonna make you feel good or even sexy (there's this fragrant in it that actually make me feel sexy, perhaps maybe it applies to me only?) Try it and you'll know.

HAIR CARE
Shampoo and conditioner. For best result, use the both! It's always the fragrance that attract me to buy a shampoo/conditioner or body gel.
As my hair is dyed, I use Bilberry Colour Protect Shampoo and Bilberry Colour Protect Conditioner. After washing, I can always smell the fragrant coming from my hair. Sometimes if I forgot to apply body perfume, scare not, I still have my fragrant hair!!! Ha ha ha!! Fresh and light, ready to go.
Oh!!! I am not going to miss this, it's really great-Grapeseed Glossing Serum.
The fragrant is so sweet that I feel like I was in a big beautiful garden and smell the nature. What is this? It actually helps to moisture your hair and add shines. It's for dry or frizzy hair. I used to have wavy curled hair, when I apply this I can see my hair was less frizzy and it's light on my hair, not like other products.
I recommended it to my 2 friends and my sister, apparently they find it not bad. Never try, never know.

Mineral Make-up from Body Shop

Mineral make-ups are hot nowadays.I personally like Body Shop products a lot. Before the launch of their mineral make-ups, I already ordered their foundations, brush, and blusher.
The foundation gave me a more natural and radiant look and it gives me a "lighter" feel on my face rather than I used to feel heavy paint on my face when I use normal foundations (liquid and non liquid).
Mineral make-ups are good. Why? It's gentle to your skin and good thing is it can covers your light pimple scar/spot without using a concealer. What you need is a small brush, dip into the powdery foundation and gently apply it on your scar. It works!! Try it!
Another point worth to mention is, it gives you a really natural look. I recommended it to my 2 sisters and they like them and they are going to buy them.
There are many mineral make-ups available out there, get yourself one. But why I chose Body Shop? Because I already liked their products and also the concept of their business, community trade. Oh yeah, their brushes are so smooth and soft. Can't resist them.

Just had my cooking for dinner with Rendy and Clive at home. I enjoy cooking so much. Let me share what I've cooked today.

1. Corn and carrot soup.
Ingredient: pork rib, corn, carrot, garlic, yellow onion and small piece of dried sotong (squid).

2. Chicken with mushroom:
Ingredient: chicken wings,garlic and mushroom.

3. Chye Sim (vege)
Ingredient: chye sim and garlic.

I like garlic. I remember during my school time whenever I have my lunch or dinner at home, I used to look for garlic in among the dishes which my mom cooked.
Ooohh....garlic garlic...where are you?

There are 2 topics I would like to touch on.
First, choosing the right medium, Blog/Audio/Video?
Let me ask, why do people blog? In our grandfather's era, nobody blog cox they do not have the platform for them to share information with others largely, what they did was like sitting at the kopitiam and start talking about life, politics, business strategies and bla bla bla...
Now, we're fortunate to share what we know with people across the world. So, we blog because we want to SHARE what we know or things happening around us.
Personally I think, to choose the right medium is primarily depend on the content or the message you want to convey. Text is kind of like "one size fits all" or just say it "one medium fits all".Eg. conveying a message "Save our earth", you can do it in text alone with some photos attached. To make it more effective, you can choose to audio it or video it. If audio, come out with a slogan easy for people to remember, fast and quick. If video, show a video of what will the earth like if we don't start protecting it.
In conclusion, text is "one medium fits all", audio is "story-telling" without the need to see/watch it, and lastly video, "a stage for performance" an entertaining and precise one.

Now, talking about virtual world or 2nd life.
Many (including myself) probably think that people who have a second life doesn't have a good 1st life.
Well, everybody today can have a virtual world. You want it? Create it!
I can say there are 2 groups of people to have a 2nd life. First one is for those who just purely want to enjoy building empires and "interact" with new people but still in real life they meet friends for gathering and chat face to face. The 2nd group of people are those who are "addicted" to it and spend most of their time creating and live in 2nd world. I mentioned "most of their time", perhaps they would prefer spend time on 2nd world than to socialize in real life.
Personally, I don't see benefits of having a virtual life. It creates a life in one's mind actually. It's like the mind is a projector and virtual life is the screen/stage to play your imagination.
Why not spend the time on how to improve your real life rather than living in imagination?
Do it moderately not addict to it.

JB shopping trip with Hui

My! It's been ages I haven't stepped into JB for shopping until today, finally a satisfying fun trip with Hui.
With only S$100, I managed to enjoy myself with shopping and a "sinful" lunch with Hui.
Why is it called "sinful" lunch? Because the 2 of us went to a Chinese restaurant and ordered rice, soup, sweet & sour pork, pig's trotter vinegar, fu yong egg and sa po tofu, oh not to forget, rojak. Altogether 6 dishes excluding rice. That was enough for 4 persons meal man! But we were too greedy, I ordered the pig's trotter vinegar and Hui ordered the egg despite that we already have those others in list. Syok! is the word that I can describe. After having our stomachs fulled with food, we proceeded our shopping-thon.
The fruit of my whole day hunting, I finally got myself a bag, a pair of shoes (which I like the most), 2 cardigans, a shorts and a cute T-shirt. As for Hui, her fruit is much bigger! Ha!
Hope she enjoyed the trip much especially with me! Be happy Hui!

Every month is a disappointing one. I had a miscarriage in June and been trying since then.Yet, still no good news.

This month, I thought I was pregnant that my period was delayed more than 2 weeks. But test was done 4 times yet they showed negative. I went to see gynae last week and she could see my uterus was thickening to 2cm, by right I should have my menses at 1.5cm thick of my uterus. Doc couldn't see anything except the thinkening uterus. I was telling myself, perhaps the fetus was too small to be seen and my hCG level was too low to be detected.

I read some comments put by experienced mothers, there are possibilities that even those tests come out to be negative, couldn't see fetus in the uterus but at the end they found out that they're 3 month pregnant. So, I was telling myself not to give up and to believe that miracle happens.

Finally, early this week to my disappointment, i see blood-I am having menses. Why? Why must I go through the disappoinment every month?

Just came back from lunch with Andrew, the always busy man.

Kara-ok with Shi Hui

Shi Hui was on leave yesterday and I met her for Kara-ok.
Probably it was so long that we haven't seen each other, when we were there most of our time spent talking instead of singing.So many stuff to catch up with.

One quite eerie thing happened which Shi Hui told me it was when she was using the toilet, she heard water dripping and someone pulling toilet paper from the next cubicle and she thought somebody must be there. But when she came out from her own cubicle, she found nobody else in the toilet!!!
Eerie right? It's still hungry ghost month man!

After the k-session, we went to have dinner while still continue with our talking as we have so much to talk about. I believe with Hui's perseverance, the future is there waiting for her. Keep it up! You have found a place to land on and bloom.
No fear, be confident. Seize the opportunity.

As for me, once I have the good news I will 'signal" you, ok? Hahahaha!!!
